We have heard so much and had some much interest in the past few years of a Womens Division, that we have decided to give it a go. We are hosting games every Wednesday Night at 8 pm with an intention to build up enough interest where we can start a Womens only division on Sundays. This will be a great opportunity for women in our league to not only play Coed, but also Womens only as that has a whole other vibe to it all together. We need the players support to make this happen and will keep you posted as we proceed.
Wednesday Night will conclude the end of the season with a great showdown between Atletico and River Plate. Atletico found themselves in this same position last season, but hope for a better result this time. In order to take their first Championship they will need to beat the League winners and #1 seed River Plate. This is bound to be a great match till the end.
This week all of the Summer Seasons will be underway. We are looking forward to an exciting season with quite a bit of returning teams. First week performances will determine divisions and rivalries will continue to be built. There are several new teams that will join the Sunday League and there division will be determined by their first time out on the pitch. Wednesday Night league has had 2 weeks of games and is off to an excellent start. All of the teams are very close in level and this has the making of a sensational season. Everyone is excited and looking forward to get their new kits. So far we have dressed teams in Boca Juniors, Ac Milan, Bayern Munich, U.S.A, Marseille, and Juventus. Contact us to get your kits.
On April 15, 2014 DirectKix will expand and open league play on the westside at the beautiful field of Santa Monica College. This will allow for players from all over L.A to join the DirectKix movement and be a part of the action. As we approach the final week of the 2013 DirectKix Summer Season we are just one game away from crowning the Champions. Here is a breakdown of whats at stake and our thoughts on what it will take to bring home the Cup.
Serie – A
Green Goes vs. L.A. White
Green Goes qualified for the playoffs on the final day of the regular season but after a very tough semi final match find themselves in the Final with the chance to defend there title and go for back to back cups. Led by captain Mike Cassidy you never can count these guys out. They square up against a very touch L.A White side that also battled a tough Semi Final match to make it to the Championship game in their first season together. The keys to winning this match will be which team will be able to stop the attack of the opposition. The Daniels-Stock brothers carry most of the scoring load for Green Goes as Ege Jens led L.A. White and the league in goals through the season.
Macabee vs. Real So Mal
With these two teams both looking for their first championship, this has the making of a very hard nosed defensive battle. Neither team is new to the DirectKix League and has long awaited the opportunity to raise the cup. It seems as if whichever team goes up first will have a great advantage in holding on throughout what may be a defensive battle.
Premiership Final –
Silver Stars vs. Boomerangs
This is the Silver Stars 3rd consecutive finals appearance. They have won 1 of those and lost 1 and look to be crown champs for a 2nd time. In order to do so they will however have to get past the regular season league winners Boomerangs. Their high powered offense led the league in goal differential and cruised to an undefeated regular season record. Boomerangs have been the only undefeated team in all DirectKix divisions this season, however anything less than a title will be a disappointment. Either way this promises to be an unforgettable final.
Bundesliga Final –
Lemon Heads vs. Motley Crew
This is both of these teams first appearance in the Championship match. These two sides dominated the division and finished in 1st and 2nd place separated by only 1 point. They have been on a crash course to the final all season long, however Lemon Heads had a great come back from behind victory in the Semi Final while Motley Crew asserted their way into the Final. Motley Crew is a result of a great leadership ob Judy Bagg who put together a great group of people season after season to the point where they have the opportunity to be the Champs.
Good Luck to all of the participants. Looking forward to another great season of DirectKix Soccer.
Culture. Passion. Soccer.
With the season well underway teams are getting situated and ready to make their playoff runs. Heres a list of who’s off to a good start and who are still looking to get it together.
In the Mens divisions Real So Mal and Chibbins FC are both undefeated and on top of their respective divisions. Last seasons Champions Kekambas and Inter Scuderia are just one win behind first place and can swap positions with a win this Sunday.
In the Coed divisions Boomerangs and Lemon Heads are off to a fast start and on top their divisions. Juggernauts have been very impressive in their first season and only a win out of first. Motley Crew look revamped and ready to make a run for their first title. With the top four teams in each division qualifying for playoffs, everyone has a shot at the title.

After the much anticipated week 1 of the Sunday Spring Season we got a chance to see defending champs take the field as well as new teams that will be competing for a title. Winter Season champs Cloud 7/8, Chbbins FC, and Green Goes all got W’s in their first match as Silver Stars came up short. A scoreless draw might have been the most competitive match of the night between new team Arsenal and revamped Stallions. The Spring season will have a new look as 2 High School teams, CHS and Viewpoint, will be bringing on their youth to challenge the experience of Ex College players such as Gianni Facio and Will Beard of Elite.
Final divisions and schedules have been determined and may be found online at www.directkix.com/directkix-league/
We will have a professional photographer at the field this coming Sunday, so comment on what you think the game of the week will be and why and we will make sure to get lots of shots of you.
This Sunday will be the start of the DirectKix Spring 2013 Season and we are excited to see all the additions of new teams and the adjustments of existing teams. DirectKix staff would like to welcome new teams: Gonner, Kekambas, Viewpoint, CHS, Arsenal Gunners and the rest of the new players that have joined existing teams.
With all 4 division champions returning to defend their title teams will be gunning them to try and take the throne. No team has ever repeated as Back to Back Champions, so best of luck to the current Champs: Chibbins FC, Green Goes, Cloud 7/8, and Silver Stars (recently knows as Smashing Pumpkins)
Please be sure to post stories on this blog, we would love to have this and our FB fan page be a stage for DirectKix members to share their experiences. Great season of Soccer to us all !!!!
We have returned back to the pitch after a 3 week break for the Holidays and were welcomed with a cold brisk night of soccer.
Division leaders SMashing Pumpkins had a big win and are currently division leaders but only by 1 point ahead of Avengers. With the rest of the teams only a few points behind, the Bundesliga division look to be a tight one as we approach playoffs.
With a big win over Real So Mal, Fusion have taken a commanding lead in the La Liga Division. The rest of the division however is seperated by only 3 points.
The Premiership Division is as close as can get. With a tough 2-1 win over Pro Fun Havers, Boomerangs are on top of the division in front of United by just 1 point. The rest of the teams are just 3 points behind, as this title is certainly up for grabs.
The Serie A division is led by Stallions, the only undefeated team remaining in the League. Some top notch play from Green Goes, Elite, and AFG will make this a very difficult task to keep as the season progresses.
Scoring Leader Mark Gutierez is on top with 7 goals and looking to defend his title as league scoring champ !!!
